I've been attending this event for years... sometimes it's been pretty cold and windy, but when I think about what they did for us I don't care how cold I get. I've called radio stations to alert them, and tried my best to get folks to go with me. But most of the time it looks just like this video shows. The Greatest Generation are dying everyday and I want to do what I can to tell them THANK YOU!!! My favorites are the guys from the Battle of the Bulge... they tear up when you shake their hand or tell them thanks. Congrats to whoever put this video together. You hit the nail on the head with this one. In a couple of weeks there will be a Christmas parade, then Mardi Gras, then St. Patrick's Day.... all of which are huge events but for the Veterans, some people can't get off their butts and show some respect.
You are correct... if you didn't go or at least make the effort you SHOULD be ashamed.
