Obama's Economic Architect Says Even If His Plan Isn't 'Beneficial' It Would Still Be Worth Doing Because Of Global Warming

Bracken Hendricks was a Co-Founder and Director of the Apollo Alliance and is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress.

According to his Bio on the Center for American Progress website, he was the architect that put the 'Green Agenda' in Obama's first jobs creation plan, better known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Stimulus) and worked with Al Gore in the Clinton Administration:

"Bracken Hendricks works at the interface of global warming solutions and economic development. He is a longtime leader in promoting policies that create green jobs, sustainable infrastructure, and investment in cities.

Hendricks served as an advisor to the campaign and transition team of President Barack Obama, and was an architect of clean-energy portions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. He also served in the Clinton administration as special assistant to the Office of Vice President Al Gore, with the Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and with the President’s Council on Sustainable Development.

He was founding executive director of the Apollo Alliance for good jobs and energy independence and has served as an energy and economic advisor to the AFL-CIO, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell’s Energy Advisory Task Force, and numerous other federal, state, and local policymakers and elected officials.

Hendricks’ publications include the book Apollo’s Fire: Igniting America’s Clean Energy Economy, which he co-authored with U.S. Congressman Jay Inslee (D-WA)."

In the book that he co-Authored titled "Apollo's Fire" he tries to make the case that a Green Transformation of the U.S. economy will help create jobs and build a better more prosperous future.

Ironically he destroys his whole theory when he basically admits that even if these "Benefits" are not created, that the Transformation is still worth doing because of Global Warming:

..." Even if an overhaul of our energy economy didn't throw off
these vast economic benefits, it would be worth doing, if only because it can help us avoid the shock to our economic system that climate change will bring."

(Apollo's Fire, page 21, Island Press)

So it would seem that Obama's own Economic Architect admits that he isn't sure if his 'Green Transformation' of the U.S. economy will even be beneficial.

But it's OK he isn't worried...

Because even if his plan Destroys the U.S. economy at least the planet will be safe from the fictional threat of Global Warming.

Sounds like a recipe for success....... doesn't it?
