Apollo/Blue Green Alliance Board Members Visit White House 170 Times
Through the entire reign of the Obama Administration the Apollo/Blue Green Alliance has had quite an effect. From writing the 2009 Stimulus to the Healthcare Bill and now the writing of the President's current Jobs Bill, the names Apollo/Blue Green Alliance might as well be tattooed on the President's forehead considering the amount of influence.
Well it would seem that amount of advice from these two organizations require alot of "Face" time. According to the White House visitors log the Board of Directors for the Apollo Alliance and the Blue Green Alliance have visited the White House over 170 times.
The leading "visitor" among the two Boards is Apollo Alliance member and President and CEO of The Center for American Progress, John Podesta with a total of 71 visits. The date of the last 'recorded' visit was May of this year. According to the Apollo Alliance Board of Directors website, John helped set the Administration's agenda during Obama's transition:
"Mr. Podesta served as co-chair of President Obama’s transition, where he coordinated the priorities of the incoming administration’s agenda, oversaw the development of its policies, and spearheaded its appointments of major cabinet secretaries and political appointees."
That would explain how the Obama Administration not only adopted "The New Apollo Program" Blueprint to Transform the U.S. economy but why Van Jones, Mr. Podesta's Apollo Alliance fellow Board member, was picked to be the "Green Jobs" Czar.
The second most popular "visitor" in the group is former Apollo Alliance Board member and the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Blue Green Alliance, Leo Gerard. Mr. Gerard visited the White House 26 times with the last recorded visit being March of this year.
Third place is a tie at 14 visits between Blue Green Alliance Board Member Larry Cohen, Union President of the CWA who's union is known to give money to the Communist Party USA, and Apollo Alliance member Gerald Hudson former Executive Vice President of SEIU.
The remaining 45 visits are split between the remaining 12 unnamed Board members, many of their visits with no dates recorded, so it's impossible to tell when the President last received one of these "unofficial" advisers.
So it would seem that Transforming the U.S. into a "Green Collar" economy takes alot of chit chat at the White House, which makes me wonder.
Since the Apollo/Blue Green Alliance were formed to basically combat Global Warming, did any of these Board members walk to the White House.....
Or drive a Big CO2 spewing SUV?
I mean it's not like the President rides in one of those planet destroying vehicles right?
Oh wait... Nevermind.
