Today, in Quincy Illinois outside the civic center where President Barack Obama was giving a speech, 200 peaceful Tea Party Protesters were subject to intimidation by the Riot Police.

The incident took place immediately after the President arrived at the civic center while the Protesters where returning to the opposite side of the street.

To the surprise of all attending, a platoon of Riot Police appeared and placed themselves between the Tea Party Protesters and the civic center.

After the Protesters Peacefully returned to their original side of the street, they were told by the Secret Service, and the Riot Police, to squeeze into an even tighter area behind the sidewalk and into a parking lot.

After several rounds of Patriotic Songs were sung by the Tea Party members, the Riot Police lined up and marched off to a round of....

Are you all completely out of your minds? You were treated no differently than any other protest group and sincerely, our President didn't even know you were there none the less, call in the troops.

Well anonymous, you are the one who is ignorant. Since you THINK you are soooo smart than why in the hell were they not there when the protesters first showed up, why did they wait until hours later ? And I know for a fact, riot police are not at every protest !!!
With all due respect, any protest by any group which occurs at a Presidential event includes riot police.
You were NOT targeted by the police for anything other than the fact they wanted you on the sidewalk. Grow up
Riot police really are not that intimidating, honestly. Noone at the event was doing anything wrong or illegal ( as so it should be ). I can bet you 1) The Pres. knew for fact we were there and 2) His people were the ones that requested the Riot Police!
Sadly you very much overestimate any 'power' you may have. Most people are not concerned with that from you but instead are concerned about the potential for violence from your group.
I've been to many protests at presidential events and have always witnessed riot police. And have never been to such an event which was not peaceful "as so it should be."
By the way, the Secret Service has control at these events.
I've been to most of the Tea Party events in the St. Louis area, INCLUDING Obama's visit a month or so ago to campaign with Claire McCaskill downtown. Plenty of uniformed police and a full motorcade but absolutely NO RIOT POLICE were there!
I've also been at numerous presidintal visit locations over the last 30 years, from Reagan thru Clinton and both Bush's and NO, Anonymous, Riot Police are not always there!
Isn't it obvious? The MSM has been braying for months about the "Threat" from "evil, right-wing extremists" such as the Tea Party, and now Obama's "handlers" are taking advantage of it!
Think I exaggerate? Just compare the coverage of the average, peaceful Tea Party protest and all the talking-head commentary to the coverage of the full-blown riots going on in Arizona right now, but thats OK, such riots are justified because those folks have "legitimate concerns" over the "evil right-wing Nazis" asking for their papers! Talk about a "double standard"!

I was there and I've been to most of the Tea Party gatherings including when Obama was in downtown St. Louis and there were no riot police. It was all a show trying to make Tea Party Patriots look bad. We showed them. Plus as I was walking back to my car a sheople coming from the townhall said she was going to kick my butt. I said nothing to her and she kept harrasing me saying she was going to report me to the White House.
IMPORTANT TO ANYONE GOING TO ANY TEA PARTY PROTEST BRING OUT THE CAMERAS AS MANY AS YOU CAN !!! PROOF IS IN THE VIDEO!! IF YOU HAVE TO BORROW A CAMERA FORM SOMEONE DO IT , IT IS MORE IMPORTANT NOW THAN EVER !!!!!!!!!!
