Stand Together at Russ Carnahan’s Office

This is a post from the St. Louis Tea Party Website:

In support of the Tea Party and 9-12 groups that are descending on the nation’s capitol Saturday, the St Louis Tea Party will be protesting at the offices of Missouri Congressman Russ Carnahan (D-MO) at 11:00AM CST.

The protest is in opposition to Carnahan’s planned vote with Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in support of the pending healthcare legislation. Please bring signs related to the pending legislation and the deplorable process of marshaling that legislation through Congress.

Nothing has changed since I wrote this last August:
On August 22, 2009, March 20, 2010, in cities and town across the United States, the American people will SURROUND our legislators offices and declare

After months of battles at Town Halls, parks, sidewalks, and Tea Parties. After innocent men and women were beaten, punched, and kicked over their desire to remain in control of their own healthcare, the Washington takeover of your medical life could come down to
The Recess Rally on August 22 at Noon March 20 at 11:00 a.m.

We ask the President to commit to the principle that the government that can’t even run a company or balance a budget should not be running healthcare.

We ask him to commit to the principle that doctors and patients should be making healthcare decisions, not some Washington bureaucracy.

But the current bills in Congress, which the President claims to support, could lead to the government rationing care, making people stand in line, and even denying treatment like they do in other countries with nationalized healthcare.
